The political establishment has had its chance. Now it’s our time. It’s past time for the southside to be represented by a parent advocate who fought tirelessly for her learning disabled daughter and knows that every child is valued and deserves the very best education and life opportunities. Connie believes that our kids count too. Proving that south side kids can achieve at a high level, Connie mentored and coached teams of students to prepare them for the jobs of the future in high tech robotics. She took her South side student robotics team all the way to the world championships.
Connie didn’t come up through the ranks of the political establishment. She’s a passionate parent advocate who understands and has contributed in a much more meaningful way. She is an effective fighter who knows we can do better and won’t rest until all our children and our entire community succeeds and thrives. If we come together, we can create a brighter future for schools and children who have too often been counted out

Connie is running for the Chicago School Board to fight for fully-funded schools. She believes all students deserve:
-
Full funding & staffing for Special Education
-
Hands-on job training & Career and Technical Education classes
-
Art and music programming that celebrate student culture and community
-
Healthy, safe, and modern school facilities
